Robotics and Hobby-Electronics Stores in India

Here's a list of online stores in India offering robotics and electronics spares and kits. I've bought numerous items from most of these stores over the last 12 years. The evaluation considers cost, delivery speed, accuracy of product descriptions, owner reliability, trustworthiness, and customer support.
Robotics & Electronics Spares
  • Robu - The go-to store for my hobby projects components — just close your eyes and order!
  • Rhydolabz - Products are relatively expensive, and delivery charges are on the higher side.
  • BM Embedded solutions - Closed! - Products are reasonably priced and backed by good support. When an HC-12 module I purchased didn't work, the store owner quickly assisted me via WhatsApp after I sent a video of the issue.
  • Robokits - They manufacture and stock high-quality Li-ion batteries along with a wide range of robotics spares. Products are slightly pricey, and delivery charges are on the higher side.
  • Robodo - 'Bombay Electronics' on Lamington Road is one of my favorite stores, operated by a kind and honest Sardarji uncle. I've always relied on this store for DC motors, and during its eBay listing, I purchased numerous servo motors and ultrasonic sensors for a hobby project.
  • Rare components - No rare components! Good for electronic components. While support is reliable, delivery can be slow; my order took 12 days from Jaipur to Mumbai.
  • Robotics DNA - Delivery is often delayed, though prices are reasonable.
  • Probotronix - Closed! - While this store offers the lowest prices and reliable customer support, product quality can be an issue. One of my AMS1117 voltage regulator boards burned and caused a minor injury, but my refund request was handled promptly.
  • Tomson Electronics - Products are reasonably priced with good customer support.
  • Roborium - The founders are true robotics enthusiasts, with a rare collection of robotics kits that are also sold internationally.
  • Eagle Electronics - While the website experience is excellent, the deciding factors are price and delivery speed. The store is modest yet offers a unique range of products in certain categories.
  • Projectpoint - A good source for electronic components at affordable prices.
  • Leafbird - Completely made-in-India products — loved it!
  • Protocentral - The store offers a good selection of SparkFun and other imported modules and breakout boards.
  • CrazyPi - Mainly offers single-board computers such as Raspberry Pi and BeagleBone, plus related accessories.
  • theengineerstore
  • Robo India - Update - They have revamped their website and catalog, though prices are on the higher side.
  • Onlinetps - Closed! - They appear to focus on offline B2B now. The website is very sluggish and never fully loads, making browsing impossible.
  • Digibay - Closed! - Prices are high, though they previously offered unique in-house modules that were worth buying.
  • Robo Elements - Update - Delivery charges of just ₹25 across India? I haven't tried it yet, but that's impressive!
  • Calcutta Electronics - Low-cost products; delivery times are uncertain.
  • Kitsguru
  • Inkocean - A good source for electronic components.
  • SparkPcb - Website does't use 'https' - Not good for online purchases
  • Extreme Electronics - Closed! - The store has closed and now focuses solely on publishing tutorials.
  • Ventor - Closed !
  • ElectronicsComp - Fraud Warning: This store is untrustworthy. Avoid making any purchases.
  • Centiot - Closed!
  • Tanotis - They offer a wide variety of imported products that are hard to find elsewhere in India. Prices tend to be on the higher side.
  • Evelta - Good source for components with clear and accurate descriptions.
  • Sunrom - Good for buying components, though shipping charges are relatively high.
  • Tenet Technetronics - They stock products from Adafruit, SparkFun, and NVIDIA—very impressive.
  • Fab To Lab - Good source for electronics components, though shipping rates are high.
  • Think Robotics - Good source for electronics components, though shipping rates are high.
  • Thingbits - For some reason, everything here seems quite expensive!
  • Kits n Spares - Closed. Previously, it was a very diverse store with a wide range of categories and products.
  • Potential Labs - The store is run by a single person who often takes orders and forgets them. Communication is poor—he even asked me to cancel my order because he was busy.
  • MG Superlabs - I considered buying a Dagu Robotics multi-chassis here, but it was too expensive. Overall, products are pricey.
